Wouldn't say "only"
I guess I am in denial about people admiring Putin. At least I can be pretty sure my conservative relatives (who are actually monarchists, the oldest ones, don't get much more conservative than that) won't go that particular route. The degree to which they deified Reagan was bad enough.
I would just note that I do think those things also have value....
Likewise. Also, I wouldn't make assumptions about why someone might give.
Go Team Benign.
In Local Child Pron Case news, the newspaper cites the FBI as reporting that the person has admitted guilt. It looks bad. My friends across the country are just finding out and are at "confused," while I have already cycled through "horrified" and am now at "ferociously angry and the Greeks had a great word for this: sparagmos."
I just feel like half my country is composed of idiots and assholes. Which I didn't presume before but now that sounds about right.
If you worked at a public library, you would be pretty sure it was more than half idiots, but less than half assholes. That's my take, anyway.
Glad to hear it, Consuela!
Although it took me a minute to realize you weren't just contributing to the ongoing conversation in a cryptic and laconic fashion.
These 2 sentences mean the exact opposite, right?
"Please do not include a sentence about date of data analysis if the study was conducted 3 or more years ago."
"Please do not include a sentence about date of data analysis if the study was conducted within the last 3 years."
Because I feel like I'm going crazy here. (More editing guidelines being handed down. We were told sentence 1, and I just got feedback that I did it wrong, because sentence 2. BUT THEY'RE OPPOSITES.)
Idiots>assholes is weirdly reassuring, flea.
I don't know what to say about the other thing. Other than "how terrible!", which I will probably continue to repeat with great sincerity.
