Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

That might eventually be a motivator.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In context, I'd guess "out of," but that's ridiculous.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I finally read "Why Is It So Hard to Get a Great Bagel in California?" It turned out to be a nice piece about food and place and possibly not a bad subject for a musical.

In talking about the larger debasement of the bagel, the writer contacted Einstein Bagels corporate:

A very nice team of marketing and R. & D. people told me that the company, which uses steam ovens for its Noah’s bagels instead of boiling and baking separately, prides itself on its innovative flavors, like Cheddar jalapeño, as well as what it calls its "traditional" ones, like . . . blueberry.

One of the musical numbers should be EAT A MUFFIN, WHITEY.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Perhaps a recurring leitmotif.

Mac can just spray himself down with Axe, he'll be fine.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

So I'm out of cash for the week. Been a long time since that happened. It was the perfect storm of debits. First I decided to go on and pay the total of my property taxes instead of breaking up the payment; that seemed like a good idea at the time. Then someone charged me about $200 more for a repair than the estimate was, without warning me. And THEN three charges that I expected to be around $100 each hit my back account at over $400 each, and that wiped me out. I called the company and talked to a very nice very apologetic CSR, who straightened out the mess and assured me the overage will be refunded to me, but that will take "a couple days". In the meantime, I have zero monies. Luckily the pantry's stocked with food and cat food. I should get busy listing more things on eBay, I guess.

Oh, I hate when what you think of as being fiscally pro-active bites you in the butt.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oy, Zen, that's no fun.

I'm a little tight myself with the fraudulent charges, but mostly all that means is that I can't go to the Rush concert tomorrow, which is a pretty first world problem. I'm also going to try not to grocer until after payday, which may be a pretty interesting exercise in creativity. Starting with tuna noodle casserole tonight! But I actually love tuna noodle casserole, and Dave hates it, so while he's on tour is an excellent time for me to do it.

I ordered dog food before, thankfully, but no idea if it'll come before I run out of what I have, so the dog might be getting crumbled up dog treats for a meal or two. It's the same thing, just in biscuit form, it's just not money efficient that way. What's the word I mean for that? Oh, economical, right.

I told Hubby's daughter about the ceremony for the organ donation memorial, she acknowledged it but said nothing else. Which is fine by me, I am quite content to go alone and make this observation in silence.
