When you look back at this, in the three seconds it'll take you to turn to dust, I think you'll find the mistake was touching my stuff.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am the anti -t today. I managed to get my work stuff done, but the bathroom is still across the hall, mocking me with its need to be cleaned.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The list of stuff I have not gotten down is very long. I have made my peace with it for now, though.

Ooh, those sound pretty, Jilli. Surely they will find an appreciative home.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have a conference call in less than 12 hours. Whyyyyy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

After all that, I do not have my sisters tonight after all. Phew.

Phew!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Phew, Sue.

I have adulted like a motherfucking adult today. Including dealing with my compromised debit card that someone is using in Ypsilanti. Suspicious, Michiganistas, suspicious.

This is the third time in as many months that we've been compromised. Twice on the SO's card and now this on mine. So I asked the fraud lady how we could be less vulnerable and had a really interesting conversation with her. Among other things, she says that when a company has public ally acknowledged a breach and I'm directly affected, she can tell me which one it was, but she cannot if they haven't come forward, which I understand, but is stinky, because I would then potentially go back and be compromised again, in this case, she gave me the transaction date, and I was on the road then, so no particular worries there unless I'm in Tucumcari again anytime soon.

Anyway, I then paid a lot of bills and restructured some payments to deal with the ten days or so I'll be out the cash. So since I was in there, I automated a bunch of stuff I meant to a while ago, and dealt with the little bits here and there that are off because of other stuff I've automated, like only owing a buck on my water bill this month.

But sheesh. Adulting is hard.

Yay Sue!

I went to whole foods and bought some salad and sushi and cookies, and just worked out. The Hyatts tend to have really nice workout facilities, and I feel like I should use all the kettle bells and bars and stuff but just do the treadmill.

I also laundered all my linens including my duvet and mattress pad and everything is hanging out on the clothesline now and it's going to all smell sooooo good tonight.

I do like the Hyatts gyms. Hampton Inns are also generally good. The places I usually stay, though, are generally not.

brillig

Adulting is hard.

I need to get someone in on Friday and hope he finds out that the toilet only needs a new wax ring put on it or something. There's an awful smell, but there's not a continuous flow of water, so I pray it's not a leak somewhere.
