Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

~ma, Susan.

Here's hoping today is a better day, Gud.

Happy traveling, meara.

Ion, I seem to have finally fallen down the Teen Wolf hole. I blame ita. Also being sick yesterday. The pull of semi-mindless and pretty was too much to resist.

not your mom's socks.

Gud, as someone who also paid a cc bill a day late this month, and who needs to do what JZ says and call for amnesty - I'm hoping you know how much you're loved here. What everyone's saying is spot on.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Today, I will begin my day by calling my FSA to argue with them. Also on the schedule -- calling Comcast to argue with them.

I think I have swung back around to less stressed on the Nashville thing, in the sense that I could not handle being more stressed.

Still on hold. So much for my "estimated" wait time of 7 minutes and 49 seconds.

When 3 dozen people are waiting for their jobs to be posted, it is SHITASS FORM to drop a "New posting" alert for a FUCKING POSTDOC.

The wide universe is the ocean I travel, and the earth is my blue boat home

OK, lucky shirt donned, about to head over to the mammography center. When it's over, I get myself a McDonald's breakfast. And assuming they don't call me back today, tomorrow I turn my focus to eating right and training for my first 5K of the year Memorial Day weekend.

(The lucky shirt is just a comfortable, baggy old Auburn t-shirt I happened to wear for both a mammogram and a colonoscopy--which I had to start having early and get every 3 years because of my family history. I now ONLY wear it for such tests, because this is one of the things I'm superstitious about, and if I were to tear or stain it beyond wearability, I'd be that much more anxious at the next mammogram or colonoscopy.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

In that case, until it's hanging off you in shreds, I think there's no such thing as beyond wearability.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Truth.
