Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

That which does not kill you should RUN

Steph, hope you and your family are still holding steady.

I've been texting with my brother all day, and I think he's doing okay. He said he did some yoga and he's so out of shape that he thinks he pulled a muscle in downward dog. (No judgment here; I did actually pull a shoulder muscle in Warrior 1 once.)

I'm so freaking tired, though. Oh my lord. I kind of want to go to bed and sleep until June.

Weirdass day. Had an unexpected cat-forced nap in which I dreamed I woke up, but not fully, then passed out and dreamed in the dream and then woke abruptly for real from that. Left me unsettled and then a rough swim in a hot pool (Uhg.) went to the hardware store and ran into tons of people I know, which was hilarious, but my brain's still off kilter.

Uhg, meara. Not fun.

sara, you've been dealing with so much that no wonder your brain is doing trippy-nap things.

I'm borderline sick, but I had to take N to soccer tryouts and then hockey equipment pick up. I walked 4 miles while N did tryouts but I feel slow and blargh because of the sick.

My packing and fighting with family nightmares are a regular feature of late. I've gotten used to it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You all could use a break.

meara, here's hoping it's easy to fix.

WTF is wrong with this cat?

Asshole.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh meara, that sucks! It seems like everything related to cars is a rip-off

brillig

The universe has done a nice job of reassuring me that there are people in the meat world who like me. Yesterday friend/landlord called up with news that benefited me and we had a nice little chat, and tonight my SIL took me out for a birthday dinner and we talked for two hours. So that satisfies my introvert soul and reassures me that I probably won't die all alone.
