I think there are ways that doctors want you to describe it, but I am always like "Well, it feels like if I could take my leg and rotate it up over my head, like a Barbie doll, it would help the pain" or "It feels like someone is taking a rusty grapefuit spoon/melon baller and scraping out my uterus."

I've been keeping a bunch of boxes from various appliances or electronics in my closet. I want to have the movers pack everything for me because I'm getting relocation money and a corporate discount, and it turns out that I can't pack anything in those boxes myself, because if anything gets damaged it's on me and not the moving company.

I guess I'll be tossing out even more stuff tonight.

Sophia, I tend to describe pain the way yo do ("I feel like someone's taken the top of my head off and a cold win is blowing through" is a fairly common thing for me to say) and DH would always respond to me saying something hurt with "A sharp pain or dull? How intense?" blah blah probably medically useful terms (his dad was a doctor, I imagine he picked it up from him). Which could be helpful but often frustrating.
