I adore Gemma! Clear-thinking, unhesitating, ruthless Gemma!
Fanboy Phil!
John Hannah!
Plus, "I thought it would be cool."
TOTALLY cool!!
John Hannah!
THAT'S WHO THAT WAS!
Totally.
I love him and have been pretty disappointed with his recent outings, so I'm hopeful that he gets good writing here.
The Punisher got a series pickup from Netflix. Meh. Jon Bernthal was one of the better things in S2 Daredevil, but a little Frank Castle goes a long way.
Rewatching The Winter Solidier, one technical problem I have is that the Russos seem to have forgotten Captain America's shield isn't just really hard metal, it actively absorbs kinetic energy from impacts. Cap shouldn't have to brace or strain to stop hits from Bucky's metal arm, and I seriously doubt that a handheld RPG packs more of a punch than Thor's hammer being swung like he's Babe Ruth aiming for the bleachers.
Yeah, but if Cap doesn't brace or strain, we don't get to see his muscles.
He could always get the shield taken away in mid-fight. Along with his uniform top.
Apparently we get helicopter wrestling, so that's good for some bicep porn (Evans apparently hurt himself doing that, too).
