At AwesomeCon this weekend, Peggy Carter was clearly the go-to costume of choice. And lots of Caps.
And, now that y'all mention it, I did not see one single Daredevil the whole time!
One guy looked so much like Joss that, had he not been too tall, I'd have been confused. His wardrobe was perfect and even his smile. He had a Romanov and Hawkeye with him. She was perfect, but the Hawkeye dude was much more handsome than Jeremy Renner.
I'm a bit abashed that I kept thinking "why are there so many Carmen Sandiegos running around? Is that character even a thing anymore?"
One of our sub-supervisors looks like Joss. I heard someone else say to him, "Hey, Joss!", so it's not just me.
The Romanov cosplayer said that her original idea was to have marionette strings on herself and Hawkeye, for Joss to carry. Cute, but not practical.
The Joss guy seemed so pleased that I got it.
Aw, damn. Teefury had a Black Widow design and I missed it. [link]
Steve is the only Avenger without a live canon love interest now isn't he? I am deeply saddened by this.
This post brought to you by me wanting Steve fanfic, but not liking anything I find, because I am a vanilla and only seem to like canon or canon adjacent ships.
Well, it kind of depends on your thoughts about Bucky.
I've seen some stories about Steve and Old Peggy, but they tend towards the angsty and pining for Might Have Beens. If there are any that are more, um, interactive, I blessedly haven't found them.
There exists a really good interactive one. I probably failed at bookmarking it. There's some good 1940s stuff, though.
msbelle, try these, though they're not canon-compliant:
