Steve felt exactly right to me (which, really, would be my dealbreaker issue if he didn't), but I agree about Tony.
Yeah, he's my dealbreaker issue, and he felt off. I wasn't impressed by how Whedon wrote him in Avengers, either.
Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.

It reads as prudish, which movie Cap has never struck me as, and if he's not, as movie!Cap insists about it just slipping out, then why did it slip out? It feels contrived, and a gag based on a false character note.
Yeah, that's how it hit me. He's not the team's nanny.
He was a little too self-righteous for my taste in Avengers.
Someone on Tumblr said that the only reason they know people need to guard their language like that is if they're around kids a lot, so in my head, Steve is the one who has to wrangle the rest of the Avengers when they're mobbed by kids. You know, at the annual Halloween party they always throw in fanfic.
The only time I liked the language joke was when Natasha said something and Steve grinned and said "Really, Romanov?" (or whatever the line was) That felt like the banter of people who knew and liked each other.
Moved from Premium:
I just finished Daredevil and have thoughts and feelings.
I am gutted about Ben. and unhappy about Wesley. Ben's wife is really something.
I love the genuine chemistry between Foggy and Matt, especially in their flashbacks.
I do not get Vanessa at all.
There were many HSQ moments.
I love the way this is filmed and the color pallet reminds me of Tom Scola photos!
Almost everyone's characterization in AoU felt off to me, except for Hawkeye. The only thing that felt true to Tony's character was the little "Please be a secret door" bit.
I watch too much RuPaul's Drag Race because I heard Mac's line about the red headed multiplier as being about a lot of "Ginger Minjs" and I was really excited about that!
The only thing that felt true to Tony's character was the little . . .
I loved his little, barely audible "Yay!" when he found it .
It's been over two weeks, no need to whitefont Ultron.
