Because of my own personal obsession, I was disappointed there was no Kingpin cameo in Thunderbolts, considering that Void using his powers of depression on an entire city took place in NYC, and Kingpin is the damn mayor of NYC. So I feel like he might have something to say about it. But, again, that's my own personal deranged level of love for Kingpin.
That doesn't mean I didn't like Thunderbolts -- I did really like it! I am always in favor of more Yelena Belova and Bucky, and I generally like Red Guardian. The movie also did the impossible, and made me like John Walker. I didn't see that coming at all.
I do kind of feel like the whole defeating-the-depression-monster-through-the-power-of-friendship thing was pretty heavy-handed, but on the other hand, that kind of thing is generally my jam, and I usually overidentify with characters with trauma (which is basically every superhero/vigilante ever).
I am 100% neutral on Bob, unlike my brother, who is thrilled the movie stayed more or less faithful to the character's comic book backstory. Bob just didn't grab me, but I'm also not opposed to him.
In conclusion, New Avengerz should totally use the -z forever.
