I'm impressed that the show did almost their whole first season with a wooden caricature of a good guy just to set up the evilness of their main bad guy. That was quite a risk, when you think about it, to start the show with a deliberately dull, trite character.

Hey. New board.
We just watched the Jessica Jones pilot. It was really good though arguably even MORE disturbing than Daredevil on some levels. We will see if I can make it through all ten. (I got through seven daredevils because though it was objectively amazing I just have trouble sustaining a desire to put myself through emotional pain for that long. See also The Sopranos. Also the reason I haven't ever really given The Wire or Breaking Bad a fair shot.)

It's a slow burn, but about halfway through, it heats up and then I'm screaming a lot.
I was more into Daredevil for a lot of reasons, and this is a very different show, but it's a really good one.
