Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.
I'm pretty sure there was an interview with Tatum and/or Reynolds where they said they had a discussion about how ridiculous/understandable each of his lines were going to be. I imagine a legitimate movie would turn it down quite a bit
That being said, I agree that he's probably not the right choice for the character.

I can't shake my deep and abiding love for Kingpin, nor do I want to.
I'm concerned that they're still going to kill Foggy. Which means I'm gonna have to pull out my headcanon "Foggy's not dead, he's just doing law. In space."
Dana, that's my worry, too.

I love Spider-Man and that quote completely killed my interest in watching this series.
I didn't realize it wasn't going to be set in whatever the current year is for the MCU. I love how it looks! And Ben looks like he walked right out of a Kirby panel.
Little disappointed we didn't get to see any stretchy action, but this is just the teaser. They have to save something for the next trailer.
Yeah, I was happy enough with the Ben prosthetics for the 2005 franchise (and even stayed open minded about the 2015 version until it became clear the movie as a whole would suck), but they really nailed his iconic look in this footage.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach's voice is just a little high to me for someone with a chest 4 feet wide, but I'm sure I'll get used to it if his performance is good, and signs point to yes from this little bit.
