Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.
So, here's the thing. I deeply deeply love the Kraven's Last Hunt storyline in the Spider-Man comics, and that's really what I want here. That said, I am *here* for this ridiculousness.
I know it's Sony and not technically the MCU, so it shouldn't matter that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is Sergei, but it's still weird to me. He's Pietro, man. There are other male actors in the world; surely they could have cast someone else.

Chris Evans was Johnny Storm in one of the failed Fantastic Four films before he was Cap.

Hush, and let me grumble!
There are multiple versions of Across the Spider-verse currently in theaters. [link]
Most of the differences listed in the article are really minor, but that's still crazy.
Whoa! I wonder how that will be resolved when it’s streaming or whatever
I don't know what to think about Secret Invasion. At this point, I'm assuming that everyone is a Skrull. Literally everyone. In fact, probably half of the filing cabinets are also Skrulls.
The Skrulls who are all "We need a place to live! Fury hasn't helped us!" must really hate the fact that the Asgardians have their own town and government on Earth while the Skrulls are hanging out at abandoned nuclear plants. They should probably hook up with the Flag-Smashers from the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series.
Finally, Olivia Colman is fucking awesome, as always.
Such a stacked cast; such a dumb plot.
My brother is thrilled that it looks like Super Skrull is going to be in the plot. And I just feel like maybe I hit my Marvel saturation point. Although I still am excited about The Marvels in November.
I just went to Disney+ to watch Secret Invasion and saw Avatar: The Way of Water and thought “ooh, water tribe shenanigans, what is Katara up to” and clicked on it before realizing that it’s not that Avatar.
This is possibly not the right thread for that. But I *am* going to watch Secret Invasion now.

Same. I’ll have friends over to watch Secret Invasion on Fridays until we finish it, but that’s mostly an excuse to hang out and drink cocktails. I haven’t seen the latest Guardians and I think I may be behind on Doctor Strange, but I find I don’t care enough to check. Eh, there are other franchises in the world.
