With Quantumania being so underwhelming and (based on trailers) GotG3 looking like it's going to be depressing and sad as hell, The Marvels looks like it's going to be the best MCU movie in quite a while. They'd better not fuck this up.
The fact that they put this out a full seven months before the release (and before GoTG3) makes it seem like Marvel is trying hard to manage expectations here.

GotG3 was fun! The cry-points were substantial, but not too extreme. I was prepared to be way more bummed out than what we got.
At the end when the caption read “Star-Lord Will Return” someone in the audience booed. They’re not wrong.

I've been putting off buying tickets because the trailer made it look so sad. Maybe I can handle it.
I thought GotG 3 was really good. While it had its emotional moments it didn't hit me anywhere near as hard as Wakanda Forever did.
Reviews are saying that Across the Spider-Verse is better than the original.
