I can't speak to it as an adaptation of the source material
I really liked the movie. I haven’t read the source material either, but as far as I could make out it’s maximum Kirby: a pure distillation of splash pages and handwavium. My main complaint is that they didn’t do nearly enough to de-bonkerify the original comics.
So is anyone who didn't read the Mat Fraction Hawkeye run excited about the TV series?
I'm very much looking forward to it, but all my friends who didn't read the comics are all "Meh, Hawkeye, I mean I guess I'll watch." And I'm like "But, but, Kate Bishop and Pizza Dog and Tracksuit Draculas!"
I haven't read the comics, but I am looking forward to the series. Mostly I am hoping they can deliver on the humor teased in the trailers.

It seems to have good early reviews; I think reviewers got to see the first 2 episodes.
Glad to hear the reviews are positive so far. The extended scene they had during the Disney+ Day thing for Marvel was great. I'm still cackling at the "Trust a Bro Moving Company."
ETA: AFAIK, it's only viewable on Disney+, but it also had peaks at Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. 4th Wall Breaking seems to be on the menu for the last one.
I haven't read them (yet), but I know about them thanks to fandom. I'd be onboard anyway, but I think I like Hawkeye more than many people.
I don't read a lot of comics, but i did read the Fraction Hawkeye stuff, and it was fun. So I'm on board for this, even though I think that Renner is kind of a dick.
I don't have any hopes that they can turn Renner's Clint into the lovable himbo of the Fraction series, but maybe Kate and Pizza Dog will be good enough to make up for him.
I watched
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
yesterday, and enjoyed it. Very pretty.
They should have let Jackie Chan have a cameo.
I laughed out loud at the
Wong and Emil
scenes.
