I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mm, yeah, that encapsulates my dissatisfaction. To summarize my review of the season so far : (1) not bonkers enough for me but a required premise (2) enjoyable with minor reservations (3) weirdly reminiscent of Identity Crisis , but that works for me (4) meh

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

-t, yes, episode 3 reminded me of Identity Crisis, too!

I really liked episode 2. I thought it was sweet. And the running gag of Thanos going straight but still trying to explain to people how his plan would have worked but getting busted for it being genocide was hilarious.

Episode 4 just made me think (1) is this an argument in favor of fridging female characters?, and (2) Dr. Strange was essentially going what Kingpin did in Into the Spider-Verse, and I liked *that* animated feature a lot better.

I was also really bothered by the insistence in episode 4 that something that didn't happen in the movie was an absolute point in time. I am generally irritated by any concept like an absolute point in time but this seemed particularly nonsensical.

the insistence in episode 4 that

I guess you have to go with the "What If..." premise there, which would make the question, "What if fridging Christine was an absolute point in time ?"

You are correct. Sigh.

This last one was definitely bonkers enough for me.

And pretty fucking grim. Didn't love it.

I couldn’t take the grim and bleak seriously, I guess. I was highly amused. Early on it put me into a Community paintball episode mood, somehow.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

So much of how that story went just didn't make sense. Which is true to the actual Marvel Zombies comic books, I suppose.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I'm an episode behind and just watched the Dr Strange one. I had a strong feeling that part of the mandate of the ep was 1) Do a Dr Strange story 2) Introduce concepts A,B, and C for the next film.

I don't know what he does to his voice (apart from the American accent) but it's the only time it isn't super-recognizable.
