Also, I assume that what's in the case Bucky brought Sam from Wakanda wasn't Sam's repaired wings -- or wasn't JUST Sam's repaired wings, but also a Captain America suit. Which I ALSO assume, since it's from Wakanda, is like Black Panther's suit and will be able to absorb and then discharge kinetic energy.
Also, Sharon Carter: Power Broker or no? Did she really just sent Batroc to give bombs to the Flag Smashers, or did she set Batroc (and the Flag Smashers) up? I genuinely can't decide.
I'm still not on board with the idea that Bucky needs to "make amends." He was victimized and used as a weapon for decades. Making amends implies that he, James Buchanan Barnes in his right mind, did horrific things that require amends, and that is emphatically not the case.

I agree, Teppy, but HE thinks he needs to, so, then you can either point out that he's not actually breaking out of the basic paradigm, just pointing it in the other direction, or you can argue with him about whether he should even feel guilty about any of this. And I think we all agree that his therapist was...kinda shitty, so nuance wasn't ever going to be the thing, and maybe Sam is coming at it from "Look, dude, you're starting to think about feelings. Good job. Lean into that." and hoping he can get there thinking it was his own idea...
At least, that's the fic I would write.

I can maybe see Bucky having come up with the atoning/making amends/whatever project as a way of dealing with his guilt and everybody going along with that? There’s a lot I don’t get about the way just about everyone is behaving, though. A lot.

So, I admit that I know absolutely ZERO about Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, but the trailer has not increased my knowledge at all: [link] . It seems like Generic Superhero Origin Movie With Asian Characters. Which, eh.
I mean, I'll still see it. I'll watch any superhero movie, as evidenced by my willingness to watch Zack Snyder's movies and WW84.

Looks fun! I am pretty comfortable with not knowing what the deal is with superheroes, though. Preferable to Zack Snyder, for my money.

I grew up reading it! It was one of the longest running Marvel comics in the 70s with the same writer/artist team (along with Tomb of Dracula).
Shang-Chi (which according to the comic means "the rising and advancing of the spirit") was originally The Son of Fu Manchu. Don't know if they're going to keep rolling with that in the movie.
But basically he's raised to be Fu Manchu's heir and then discovers his father is EVIL and so then spends his time fighting ninjas and whatnot to take down his father's empire.

It looks to me as if the Mandarin will be standing in for Fu Manchu in the movie. They might still name him Zheng Zu rather than Zhang Tong, but I think Fu Manchu is off limits for Marvel.
