Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Of course I'm going to see Black Widow, but I'm less enthusiastic about it than I would've been a couple years ago.
Although I'm looking forward to some of the upcoming MCU offerings, overall I'm not interested in Phase Four. I was never into The Eternals and I don't even remember Shang-Chi. They don't have the hook into my comic-loving childhood that Spider-Man and Iron Man and Black Widow and Hulk did. But who knows; maybe they'll be great and change my mind.
Marvel managed to make magic with GotG, but I would agree. Phase 4 seems to have way too many characters I have no real interest in.
I'm very much looking forward to female Thor in Phase 4, and Spider-Man and Dr Strange should be interesting too.
We watched Endgame last night on Disney+. I don't care if the battle scene with all the women was just pandering to the audience it gets to me every time.
Also I cried again when Tony died. Watching Pepper is so hard.
I loathe Thanos. I can't enjoy him as a character in any way. I have the same reaction to Fisk on Daredevil (I haven't made it throgh a full season of Daredevil because I can barely stand it when Fisk is on screen). The whole smug, evil bastards who claim they are destroying things for the greater good but really it's about their greed...reminds me too much of McConnell and others.
I am conflicted about a Black Widow movie. If it had come out before Endgame I would be seeing it but now I'm ready for the next phase.
Which I'm looking forward to because I want to know where things will go from here
Does phase four have Captain Marvel? Because I'll go to anything she's in.

She's actually going to be the linchpin of Phase 4. In Feige's words she's the Iron Man of the next phase, touching on all the other characters.
Hmm. I guess I can see why Spider-Man couldn't be what with all the recent drama with Sony, but I still think of him as the heart and soul of the Marvel Universe moving forward.
Damn it, Jared Leto annoys the shit out of me, but I actually think that the Morbius movie looks good, based on the trailer: [link]
For those who haven't yet seen it: Drunk Paul Rudd. [link]
A theory: Cap's To-Do List in Winter Soldier is actually a plot outline for everything that happens to him in the film.
- Moon Landing: Cap descends down underneath S.H.I.E.L.D., where there are spaceships
- Berlin Wall (up + down): S.H.I.E.L.D. splits in two and falls
- Steve Jobs (Apple): Cap and Nat go to an Apple store
- Star Wars: Hydra attempts to blow up the planet. (They actually say "fire at will", like Grand Moff Tarkin).
- Rocky: Cap has an epic beat-down with Bucky, which ends in a draw.
- Troubleman: Cap finally listens to it and the end of the film.
I'm still not sure how I Love Lucy, Disco, and Thai food fit in, though.
