Saw
Far From Home,
and this one is going in the home library, if for nothing else but
Peter getting all excited over the suit-building set-up in the back of the Stark jet and Happy smiling in proud melancholy. Peter: "What?" Happy: "Nothing. You take care of the suit, I'll take care of the music." He pushes a button and AC/DC blasts out. "I love Led Zeppelin!" Peter yells over the music. They even played the Iron Man theme as the bulkhead rolled aside to reveal the assembly set-up.
Not really a spoiler: Peter suggest getting Captain Marvel, and Fury scowls. "Do not invoke her name."
There are credits scenes, significant ones.
As everyone is filing out, someone said, "So I guess I need to see Captain Marvel now." "You haven't seen it yet!" gasps several of his friends. "I'll see it, I'll see it!"
Previous Spiderman movies turned me off the character so I hadn't watched Homecoming until tonight. It was indeed adorable.
Far From Home was pretty much everything I wanted in a Spider-Man movie.
I kind of wanted a callback to
Tony telling him if he was nothing without the suit then he didn't deserve the suit, but that was a message for
another movie.
This was a lovely Tony eulogy.
Connie, I also loved the scene
where Peter was building the suit in the back of the Stark jet.
That was fantastic.
And I will never stop laughing that apparently the only actor
who can play J Jonah Jameson is JK Simmons.
That made me laugh so much that it took away from the
HSQ of Mysterio outing Peter.
I thought the movie modernized Mysterio pretty well. I also
assumed that even though the trailer made him look like an ally to Spider-Man, he would be the bad guy, but I sure didn't expect him to be a disgruntled Stark Industries employee with a whole squad backing him up.
The stealth suit was pretty sweet.
I know that
Peter's situation is different, being a high school student and all, but no one else in the MCU has a secret identity!
Someone want to explain to me what was happening in the second post credit scene. I mean I get what I was actually seeing but what? when?

Fury and Maria were actually Skrulls, introduced in Captain Marvel as a race of shapeshifters who were the ruthless enemy of the Kree, but were actually more of an oppressed population. The two Skrull playing Fury and Maria are the leaders of the Skrull who were hiding on Earth, and apparently they've stayed on Earth to work with SHIELD. Fury is actually hanging out on a spacecraft of some sort that's manned by Skrulls and humans. Some people think that spacecraft is going to be the base for SWORD, the SHIELD organization that works with extraterrestrial threats.
