Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.
This post has some fanfic-related content, but is still a hilarious (and correct) comment on Cap:

Spoilers, obviously. A highlight:
Steve's
gonna Steve! Steve can do this all day! Steve is narratively exhausting! And so, like, I do get-–like, I get that the Russos tried to SEND HIM BACK IN TIME to get rid of him, but even then, he says he'll be right back and he KEEPS HIS WORD BECAUSE HE'S STEVE, and so they have to imply that he's really really REALLY REALLY too old to go on Steving.
Dana, this was my favorite part of that post: "Steve Rogers:
Deadly Grandpa".
Because it's not wrong. (In fact, I think a
Deadly Grandpa version of Steve was in the comics;
I vaguely remember that from [I think] a Squirrel Girl comic.)
I would pay folding money to watch
Deadly Grandpa
Steve.
edit
Of course I would.
Looks around at the truly embarrassing pile of Marvel branded toys and crap bought in the last month.
Talk about retail therapy.
Still cheaper and more gratifying than talk therapy.
Re: Nebula
She did
get to save her sister. I imagine that ranks higher than killing Thanos to her at this point in her journey.
Nebula's character arc was
more satisfying to me here than in the comics.
edited for being possibly insensitive
I'm still in awe over Karen Gillan as Nebula, who was a villain who was supposed to be killed off in the first Guardians movie. Seemingly through sheer force of will, she kept daring the writers to add more and more heft to her role until she ended up with one of the best character arcs in the MCU.
God, she's amazing. Which isn't shocking, as she's the person who single-handedly drew me into Nu!Who, but still deserves a mention. (And I'm still kind of in awe of Karen Gillan making the bold choice to SHAVE HER HEAD for the first movie. Her commitment to sparkle motion cannot be overstated here.)
I need a Nebula funko pop like air.
The laugh I'll remember longest from Endgame was my 75-year-old mother's horror at realizing she still knew all the words to "It's Been a Long,Long Time".
Amy Pond seemed like an insufferable Mary Sue to me on the page when I was unable to watch Eleven's run and was going by written recaps and fan descriptions, but somehow Karen Gillan pulled off a miracle and made her awesome and endearing on the actual show. (Largely compensating for how not-awesome I found Matt Smith...)

Hey!! I know all the words to "It's Been a Long, Long Time"! It's a lovely song and a classic for a reason.
P.S. I am rather younger than 75, if she'd be at all comforted.
