And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think the longest movie I've watched in a theater was Belfast, Maine (4+ hourlong documentary). It was exhausting but also amazing.

I don't expect that kind of artistry from Endgame, and so I would like it to be shorter!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Shir, I feel like the US government *in the 90s* was a very different world in that regard. I wouldn't be surprised if there were masses of paper records sitting somewhere at that time, because they had the space and that's easier than doing anything else with them, no?

Sort-of example: when I went to grad school in 2004, my childhood medical records were unavailable to me, because the paper files had been archived. When I went back to the same health center I went to as a child, in 2010, the records had been digitized. Not the government, but still! My paper files from childhood apparently sat somewhere for 30 years!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Jesse, I have no idea. It makes a lot of sense if it's an archive and they have the space for it. The thing is, in this case, it isn't organized as an official archive. (Also: they have reels, not just paper, so they are transferring information to magnetic media). And if it is not an archive, there's really no reason to waste money on Hollinger boxes for paper to sit and wait in when it can sit and wait in regular boxes/folders.

So... maybe, information-wise, they are a stop in the supply chain, but not the end of it. I just want to know who is in the end of that chain and to what end, because this whole floor? Is not the end of the supply chain of the information stored there (if and only if the classification is mostly alphabetical according to what was on screen. Or that they have connections to a very cheap signage factory and a lot of people to move boxes between shelves and build new shelves every quarter.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

The new posters for Endgame show who lived (color) and who died (b/w): [link] I feel like this is the first confirmation we have that Pepper survived (so maybe we get Rescue in Endgame???). Also Valkyrie, which: WOOT!!! And I assume it confirms that Loki really is dead (there are a LOT of theories on the ol' interwebs that he didn't really die in Infinity War).

It also reminds me that I don't give a single crap about Vision.

t edit I thought these posters were the first confirmation that Shuri died (I am NOT okay with that), but Victor said on FB that one of the trailers showed her among the pictures of those who got dusted. I didn't notice that at all (obviously), so the posters broke the news to me.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I was unhappy that apparently Shuri got snapped, partly because it happened off-screen, and partly because I really wanted a tech snark-off with Tony, Shuri and Rocket.

Agreed, on both counts. Also because I really wanted her to suit up as Black Panther since T'Challa got dusted.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also Valkyrie, which: WOOT!!!

Have you seen Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson on Twitter trading fan art back and forth of Valkyrie and Captain Marvel in various cute clinches? [link]

Ha! One of my friends on FB changed her profile picture to the "Avenge the Fallen" poster of Vision. So apparently someone out there does give a crap about Vision.

I have!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

A 3 hour movie is nothing after you've seen a 12 hour play where the actors can see you squirm!

Ethan beat The Mary Sue to that article by almost a week. [link]

(But the comments on theirs are better.)
