Larson, for all that she's young, has at least managed to look like she's in her mid-30s for years. (Not through premature aging or anything. She's just got resting mature face or something and I'm always startled by her age.)

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far for the Captain Marvel stuff though my only familiarity with the character is from the Earth's Mightiest Heros cartoon. It's crazy that Marvel can take 30 years off Samuel L. Jackson more believably than Warner Brothers can delete Henry Cavill's mustache.
I've seen Larson in other things, and she's good. I'm sure she'll be a great Captain Marvel, and I'm looking forward to seeing her in the role. I just have old person weariness of seeing a potential older role being filled by someone in her 20s.

I think the only things I remember seeing her in were Community and the Scott Pilgrim movie (two incredibly different roles).
She was brilliant in The United States of Tara. I haven't seen her in anything since.
The only things I've seen her in are Room and Short Term 12 so this will be quite the difference.
Just saw Ant-Man and Wasp! Laughed more than anyone else. The Partridge Family theme, Luis and the truth serum debate, cracked me up I hope those don't count as spoilers.

Everything that quester ^^^ said!
I really don't know much about Captain Marvel, and what I do know sounds badass, but I've never read any titles with Carol Danvers in them, so I don't have any kind of emotional hook to the character. But I'm 99% sure the first trailer will suck me in.
Well, I still don't understand a dang thing about Captain Marvel (beyond Air Force, gets superpowers from...aliens (?), something something something), but the movie looks great!
