Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).

Anyway, it made me laugh out loud, as if RDJ and Stark were just one at this point.
They are though, right?
I'm more and more settling on being vaguely annoyed with the end. Because I feel like it's only OK if you're also seeing the meta, and then what's the point anyway. Because I would NOT be OK with
all of those folks dying so unceremoniously (or at all, in some cases!)
except for the
fact that you know half of them have sequels coming anyway and that this is actually just Part 1.
On the in-movie side, I guess it's
Dr Strange giving up the stone so easily when he knew all the possibilities that does the same work.
That's what I like about it, though, that it's not ok. It's like
Omar getting shot.
But I do have the meta to fall back on, so I can rationally know that
it must be going to be more okay than seems possible
and that is, for me, quite pleasant.
Holy CRAP. According to Joe Russo, Tom Holland
I am so damn impressed with Spider-Baby.
I'm more and more settling on being vaguely annoyed with the end.
I remain underwhelmed, and I really didn't expect that to be my reaction.
I like that
inside the universe they don't that people will come back, that at this moment they're in shock and horror. It emphasizes that heroes are people and suffer loss and stand around looking horrified and gutted and helpless. Steve getting right up and being heroically encouraging would have been
farcical.
Am I the only one who didn't really like
Dinklage in this movie? We know from GoT he can't do accents, and that scene went on at least twice as long as it needed to.
OK, but how can the
accent of the last remaining space dwarf
be wrong, technically?
That's a totally fair point. How do we know
the space forge ISN'T in New Jersey?
Holy CRAP. According to Joe Russo, Tom Holland [spoiler redacted]
Huh. That is awesome.
COMICS QUESTION! Because all the blending of the
meta vs the impact in-story for the characters is making me want to find it because I do think it is relevant or at least interesting in the context of the discussion: does anyone remember if it was in Fear Itself where Bucky dies and a non-hero person has this whole ~thing~ about how angry it makes her that the superhero types always get to come back and, as I recall, regular Joes and Janes do not, and Natasha flips her shit and says that the possibility that the might come back doesn't actually make the whole part where they die easier? This is a shit summary, but you may get my gist.
What Connie said. After the initial slam of emotion, I was starting to feel like it was a cheat, but then I thought about the impact on the characters and I am all back in my feelings.
Precisely, Jessica. A lot of planets have a
New Jersey,
I'm sure.
