Marvel Universe: Infinite Chrises
Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.
And I. Lots of character stuff, which I like.
Tony's in Wakanda! He's snarking with Star Lord! Which means snarking with Rocket.
Worth the price of admission right there.
Yeah, but. I think Tony and Steve are going to die. My brother thinks Rocket is going to die. I need to brace myself.
But Tony in Wakanda means Shuri gets to school him on science and tech, so yay!
Okay, I kind of love the new trailer. The first one was too "HERE ARE ALL THE CHARACTERS WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO EXPLAIN WHAT THEY'RE DOING HOLY SHIT THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM AREN'T THERE."
I didn't see the Deek thing until the show explained it either, but I'll admit I was only half paying attention.
We should probably start a deadpool about which characters are going to die.
Although if it's anything like the comics, a bunch of characters killed off in this movie will be resurrected in next year's sequel.
Tom, my brother said the same thing as your whitefont. But the MCU is getting bloated, so it wouldn't be the worst thing for some characters to die. (Okay, yes, it would suck.)
My money's on Tony and Steve.
We know there's going to be another Spidey movie and another Black Panther movie, so Peter and T'Challa are safe.
Can Bruce even die? I feel like the first Avengers movie established that he couldn't, but maybe the Infinity Gauntlet is a special case.
My money's on half the cast being portaled to a pocket universe / alternate dimension where they don't get to be in movies for a while, but aren't dead just in case Marvel wants them back later.
