Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So, 2 years ago we were talking about the potential for Bucky to have a manbun (I don't remember being so staunchly Team Headband, but apparently I was) (I have come around to Team Manbun): P.M. Marc "Marvel Universe: Infinite Chrises" May 9, 2016 8:40:39 am PDT. I'm just amused.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Shuri was entirely the best.

Poor Killmonger. Which you wouldn't think about a guy called that, but he really struck me as one of the most damaged villains ever, in the sense that he could have been saved at some point, but they'd passed that point and there was no hope left. The bit about burying him in the ocean -- damn.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Tears, exuberance as 'Black Panther' opens across Africa

I just got tickets for a 10:45 AM showing tomorrow. It's dangerous to wait longer.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Timeline is a little squishy, TBH. Nothing quite maps correctly in terms of the CNN broadcast/the CW timeframe, though I'll handwave it into making sense next viewing.

I am going with Bucky not fixed yet until after the events of Black Panther, as Black Panther takes place just after Civil War and slightly before, I think, Homecoming. So I take fixed!Bucky as occurring at some general time after Black Panther.

ALSO NO HEADBAND, to bring it back to two years ago. I STAND 110% BEHIND MY STATEMENTS THEN.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

You guys, I cried so many times during this movie. Some for me, but a lot for ita.

Teppy, I share your questions about Wakanda's economy. I guess vibranium is so valuable that they can sell tiny bits to other governments every now and then when they need money to spend outside their own border?

I also question how a tribe living in a basically arctic climate is able to survive on a vegetarian diet, but WORTH IT for the laugh line so I'm happy to handwave.

The second credit scene! Little kids creeping around to stare at him and run giggling away! White Wolf! I wonder if Steve ever goes to sit next to him to sketch the view.

More after I've read all the spoiler font.

edit: re: the economy, if they've got spies across the world, I bet the merchant tribe has holding companies that filter out useful small things that bring in some money and resources. I wonder if the people grinding grain by hand might appreciate some mechanical aid with that.

I think Tony and Shuri would be babbling at each other and trash talking each other's work with Shuri being fascinated by Tony's AI's and Tony being thrilled by her maglevs.

Very cool.
