Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

What is even happening?

Marvel's Runaways has been renewed for season two on Hulu, and the cast is live-tweeting the season one finale, tomorrow night. The season two order is for 13 episodes (as opposed to ten for the first installment). Details (no spoilers).

I've mostly enjoyed the first season, but only until I let myself think about it. The pacing is really off and has been (spoilers for already released episodes) * since episode two, which was a do-over of the pilot, but from the parents' perspective. Also, yes, Marsters' Victor Stein has been all over the place, To be fair to JM, that is due to the writing rather than his acting. He hasn't been chewing scenery (except for when he gets a headache from the chip tumor).

Anyhow, I've been enjoying it, despite those issues, so I do think they have something to work with. I hope they can tighten it up in the second season.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Thor: Ragnarok gag reel.

Got my tickets for Black Panther opening night. I'll be seeing it at theater in Brooklyn that'll likely have a majority black audience.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: [link] It looks pretty fun, although Michael Douglas continues to creep me out for some reason I can't put my finger on.

And now that the press embargo has been lifted on Black Panther, the reaction is unsurprisingly fantastic: [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sounds like between Killmonger and Hela Marvel might've sorted out its Boring Villains problem.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I hope Killmonger is a lot better than the trailers would lead me to believe—he was the one part I wasn't enthused by.

From the early buzz about it, Killmonger is pretty good. I couldn't suss out much from the trailers (other than Michael B Jordan is RIPPED), so I'm going to trust the early buzz.
