Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Did she guest star? I don't recall seeing any actresses who were that horrible. Well, except when "Charlotte" was trying to hide her ulterior motives, but I'm pretty sure Tricia Helfer was directed to play those scenes as broad and obviously phony as possible.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Did she guest star?

Oh, no I meant just generally. I hated her character, and her portrayal even more.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

She's been decent enough in the few other things I've seen and was creeped on so much when she was starting out that I always root for her when she's in something. I mean, it's almost always a CW something, but hey.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I watched the first episode of The Gifted. It seems better than The Inhumans, which is perhaps faint praise. But it was fun to see Amy Acker on screen again, and I think most of the actors did a good job. The guy playing the dad reminded me of Tim DeKay (Agent Burke in White Collar) just enough to be distracting. I kept waiting for Neal Caffrey to show up and fix things via some unexpected route.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I can't watch The Inhumans. I can't get past how utterly ridiculous Medusa is. Like, I'm all in for wacky superhero powers, but for some reason, independently mobile hair is too much. If the hair was actually snakes, or snaky tentacles, I'd love it.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

That was actually my thinking back when they first introduced the character in the comics way back in the silver age. Never really cared for any of the Inhuman characters, except maybe Lockjaw.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

They pretty much took care of that problem in the first episode. Which is why I guess they didn't bother to make the hair look good in any way.

Lockjaw is nifty. But I'd just as soon watch him with the current Ms. Marvel.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

If you haven't already read it, Glen Weldon's review of The Inhumans is hilarious and, I suspect, much better than the show itself: [link]
