Just be careful not to sacrifice anyone who might come back and haunt you or else this whole thing could backfire.

Atropa, have you seen the old - 1960s - movie of The Haunting? Julie Harris, Claire Bloom, Russ Tamblyn - seriously scary in places.
I own a copy of the The Haunting! I love it so much. (I need to get copies of The Innocents and Dragonwyck.
We finished The Haunting of Bly Manor last night, and while I can see why some people don't like it, it was exactly the sort of gothic romance with ghosts that I love. And just like with Crimson Peak, it was marketed wrong, because it was a gothic romance, and people who went in expecting horror were going to be very disappointed.
Did someone say "The Untamed"?
I love that show so much! I went down a deep, deep rabbit hole with that one! Watched the regular edition on Netflix, then the Limited Edition on You Tube (they pretty much trim the entire storyline out except the Wei WuXian and Lan Wangji).
Then I read the book... watched the anime. Watched the regular series AGAIN.
I haven't been this obsessed with a series since Buffy!
Hey, Rayne! It's nice to see you.
I've been watching Justified on Hulu. For anyone else who hasn't seen it, it's set in Kentucky and based on Elmore Leonard's Raylan Givens stories, and stars Timothy Olyphant as US Marshal Givens and Walton Goggins as frequent antagonist (sometimes ally) Boyd Crowder. It ran for six 13-episode seasons on FX from March 2010 to April 2015.
I didn't think it would be my cup of tea, but DH had already watched it once, and wanted to watch again, so I gave it a shot after we finished Deadwood. I'm really enjoying it. We just finished the second season, guest starring Jeremy Davies and Margo Martindale. It was so well done.
Justified is so great.
Mmmm, Justified.
Amazon's LoTR series puts out a casting call for actors "comfortable with nudity": [link]
Huh. That's unexpected.
I don't think I'll manage the anime, Rayne, but I'd love to find an English translation of Mo Dao Zu Shi. Go to the source, as it were. I've been cheating on my watching partner--we're up to ep. 39? I think? on Netflix, and I've watched ahead a few eps on YT.
I am all about the Wei WuXian and Lan Wangji, ITYW, but there are lots of secondary and tertiary characters I'm intrigued by and fond of, as well. I got lost to begin with in the scenery (OMG) the sets, the props, and the costumes, as well as all the pretty, pretty people! It's the farthest step away I can imagine that doesn't involve vore or horror from national and international politics, plague, and indigenous and environmental disaster. One has to park one's consciousness in a safe, pretty bubble fairly regularly or lose it altogether. Speaking of the Wei/Lan, someone likened them to Aubrey and Maturin--or House and Wilson. I can sorta see it.
ETA: Justified IS awesome. Not least for the fact that they told their story and ended in five seasons. Amazing regulars and recurrings and fantastic guest stars, pretty damn good writing and occasional gobsmacking cinematography. "Rat t'ere's good," is still a useful part of the family vernacular.
ETA 2: Apparently they're making a The Untamed sequel, with younger actors (the original leads have moved on with their careers), and from promo gifs a much lower budget. How disappointing.
