I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Margo Martindale, also part of S2 Justified, can go toe to toe with Dench, Smith, or Mirren, any day. She's just been given different material.

and how!

I thought Unbelievable was so so good, but I had to fast-forward through a lot of early scenes, because the way the character Marie was treated was just so awful I couldn't handle it. Once I got through the first 2 episodes, though, it was much less difficult to watch (although still enraging).

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I just got to the (spoilerfonting just in case anyone who hasn't seen it yet is planning to) rape forensics textbook and all the awful implications thereof, and also Rasmussen's husband refusing to cut a hundredth of a corner and, when she says, "When he rapes again, it'll be on your conscience," shrugging, "No, it won't" as he strolls off to pick up his lo mein. Both sickening.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I love Kaitlyn Dever and Margo Martindale. I had to give up on Unbelievable because I was too sad.

If Justified has both of them, that's good enough for me.

Also, despite the overwhelming sadness, there's something incredibly nourishing about seeing so many gifted actors with great character faces and normally proportioned human bodies and crow's feet and neck wrinkles and none of the women looking any more polished or made up than any regular not-on-television woman.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Martindale is only in the second season. Deaver is mostly in the second season but appears occasionally after that. But it's like Fargo in the quality of its guest stars and recurring stars. Payton Oswalt, of all people, kicks ass on it. Mary Steenburgen. Jere Burns. Jeremy Davies. Jim Beaver. Garret Dillahunt. Stephen Root. Dale Dickey. Alicia Witt. One lone episode of Carla Gugino.

I tried out Disney+ before work this morning; I watched The Three Little Pigs. It's glitchy, though, as you might expect.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I can't get Disney+ to work at all on my roku. Very annoyed.

It's got more of the Marvel movies than they originally said they would launch with. It doesn't have The Incredible Hulk, which is still controlled by Universal, or the solo Spider-Man films, which are with Sony, and Black Panther and Infinity War are still on Netflix. But every other Marvel film is there, which is nice.

OK has anyone seen The Mandalorian yet? Because OMG that baby critter. (Which isn't Yoda, and we don't know what species Yoda is, but he's hella cute. Did they get Henson to do the work?)

Adorbs.

Still waiting for Gina Carano to show up, though: this show has a lamentable shortage of female characters so far, which is weird given Dave Filoni's involvement.
