On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I didn't read the article yet, but I was just thinking that not only have there been more than there were for a long time the abortion storylines I've seen have been handled well and handled differently from one another, which is great.

At this point I don't have a lot of confidence that Gilmore Girls would give me a satisfying story about it, frankly.

-t, I feel the same way.

Oddly, I would have had more confidence in the original series to handle an abortion story line, way back when, than the current iteration.

Somehow, the pathos portion of the program fell flat for me in the mini. I could totally seen a Yale era Paris having an abortion.

The OA review: If I told you anything about Netflix's new show, you wouldn't believe me

Uhm, who wants to try it first?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Oooh, pick me, pick me!

At times, it feels like the sort of show that would be a background joke in an episode of BoJack Horseman and/or something Jack Donaghy would pitch on 30 Rock.

At other times, it feels as if co-creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij discussed the plot of Lost with a time traveler at a Y2K-themed end of the world party, only both Marling and Batmanglij were incredibly high, then wrote down what they could remember the next day in between shifts at their New Age bookstore jobs.

Y'all just saved me. I was considering watching OA, even after reading the synopsis, but the Jessica's courage has spared my eyeballs.

Cheers for that.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just watched the 1st ep of The OA. When the opening credits played I thought, "Wow! They just outdid Alias!"

I may never stop laughing if the 5 sit and listen to a story for the entire season.

DH and I finished the whole thing last night, and I genuinely have no idea how I feel about it. It's impossible to mock the twists (SO MANY TWISTS) because each one is preceded by an earnest reminder that this story SOUNDS CRAZY but ACTUALLY ISN'T and JUST GO WITH IT.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I tried Black Mirror or Dark Mirror? whatever. 1st ep was meh. 2nd ep I bailed as soon as a Jillifont appeared.

I am re-watching the Matt Smith Dr. Who's. Never watched them closely because I disliked him so much. But, now he doesn't bother me as much. it was the failing to be as good as Tennant that made him a failure for me. But, a lot happens in the episodes. i think they actually pack more stuff in.

Watching years after the fact I found that I really liked the Ponds (despite Amy sounding like Rose v2.0 on paper), but couldn't stand Smith.
