I just started, but got pulled away. Hoping to start again this weekend/holiday. How is it?

SHOCKING Gilmore Girls spoiler: [link]
I'm watching the Gilmore Girls: Year in the Life. We just got to the musical run through. I know it's supposed to be excruciating. But my stream stopped just before the tap dancing for five seconds, as if to say, "I'm giving you a chance to escape. Take it." That's some high level watch from the hall.
I'm really enjoying it.
I loved it. I just finished, and I sort of feel hungover, but it was satisfying to me.
I liked that part Calli, although I appear to be the only one.
the Waterloo part really killed me, and having seen Carole Kings Beatiful, so did the part where she suggested the audience sing along to her uplifting songs!
It didn't bother me either, but I'm incapable of analyzing it critically.
Overall, I found GG emotionally satisfying. I liked Lorelei's arc and where she ended up. Emily Gilmore's, too. I had a bit more trouble with Rory, although some of that's probably envy. Why yes, it might have been nice to spend the first 10 or so years out of college wafting around NYC and Europe, finding my passion and having handsome men put me up and help me make career connections instead of scrabbling for multiple soul sucking jobs to pay off my student loans.
I'll own that plays into it. However, the whole fooling around with men in other allegedly committed relationships thing is starting to look like a habit and not a great one. And seeing a teaching job at a prestigious school being offered to you on a plate as a sad fallback option instead of a challenging, potentially highly rewarding (emotionally and mentally, if not financially) career move raised my hackles. Teaching isn't just something you settle for when you can't get any of your real, important dreams to work out.
But Kurt doing something wonderfully right was very satisfying. Lorelei's whole lines are for people who don't know how to make connections bit was fun and highlighted some of her strengths. Jess seemed to have grown into a gruffly caring, competent person, which was nice to see. I actually empathized with the mayor guy trying to get people behind a municipal sewage system. People often don't want to think about what happens post-flush, but it's these sort of unsexy issues local officials have to worry about.
Things seemed set up for a second miniseries. I hope it happens.
