That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Peter Davison played the Fifth Doctor, after Tom Baker. He is also David Tennant's father-in-law. Also, the oldest of Job's children was played by Ty Tennant, David's son.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Steph, he is Peter Davison, a.k.a. Tristan Farnon from All Creatures Great and Small. Also the 5th incarnation of Dr Who. Also-also, David Tennant's father-in-law.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Oh, that's pretty cool!

Well, season 2 of Joe Pickett has wrapped up.

There were several difficult painful interwoven storylines. I was actually disappointed that they all had fairly happy endings. It was all a little too pat.

The locations they filmed in were again stunningly magnificent.

They did throw in a disturbing twist right at the very end. If it forms the basis for season 3, that's going to be the continuation of a painful storyline from season 1. But I'll still watch it. The scenery and the impressive acting by the cast so far makes up for the problems I had with the storytelling.

ST:SNW did a musical episode.

I have mixed feelings, will have to mull them over for a while.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is anyone watching American Born Chinese? Is it appropriate for an 8 year old?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Ahsoka was decent. I'm not really digging Ahsoka the character we've gotten in live action so far. I realize she's older and been through a lot, but I really miss the spunk she had in The Clone Wars and Rebels.

It took awhile to warm up to this version of Hera, but I'm all in after the ship chase scene with her and Chopper.

Interestingly they've really reduced the vocal effects on Chopper's dialogue to the point he's almost completely intelligible.

I'm very curious about our two Darksiders. Skoll seems to have a love/hate relationship with the Jedi order and his apprentice is wearing a Padawan braid.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm really on the fence with Ahsoka the show, and I concur that I want more joie de vivre from Ahsoka the character. She's been solemn as heck in every iteration since TCW, and I know she's been through a lot, but seriously, she knew how to have joy. Can she not have any joy now?

I think Sabine is well-cast but I'm on the fence about Hera. She's missing some of the maternal authority & gravity that the animated version brought to the table. But also the sly playfulness she would show in her flirtation with Kanan. I dunno.

The plot is not working that well for me (do we really have to have another search led by a very old map?) , but I'm happy that they have tried to explain how Sabine could be a Jedi apprentice without having much Force sensitivity--or any.
