Nimona is great! Woohoo! I enjoyed it so much I went back and read the graphic novel again (? I may have only read the webcomic before, actually) and was very pleased to notice so many details that made it into the movie. Although I am totaly on board with the changes they made to make it work as an animated movie. Two thumbs up.
I spent much of the weekend lying in front of a fan and watching Netflix on my phone, so I also caught up on The Witcher. I'm happy with season 3 so far. I didn't reread Time of Contempt or anything, but I recognized enough stuff from memory (including something I wanted to see but didn't think they would be able to get to from where they left season 2, so that was extra nice) to be gratified on the Book!Canon front. Blood Origin had pretty good fight scenes (and Michelle Yeoh) and the story is, I guess, okay as history of elves but as an explanation of the creation of witchers or as the story behind the Conjunction of Spheres I'm not really on board. Meh.
Rumor has it that Greta Gerwig has signed on with Netflix to make two Narnia movies

WWDITS: Guillermo's first pride parade! And Laszlo got to go to the beach!
I was really worried about Laszlo wading in the ocean and losing his magic sunblock. I don't know where they are going with Guillermo's sort-of-turning and I don't know what I want to happen, but that smile when he decided he was going to enjoy himself in the parade was pretty great
The Bear: I went ahead and watched both seasons over the weekend and while season 2 was indeed pretty life-affirming or whatever I'm gonna need another season stat to clear up pretty much everything right at the end
I don't know where they are going with Guillermo's sort-of-turning
The little baby wings! So cute!
That took me a minute to understand what I was looking at.
I seem to be pretty invested in Guillermo *not* becoming a vampire. I guess I don't think it will make him happy? I am wondering if his Van Helsing heritage as something to do with the weirdness
