Why do I keep expecting Caputo to do what an even halfway decent human being would do? He never does, and yet, I keep thinking he might.

I've been caught up on OitNB for about an hour now and I think I've stopped weeping, but the allergies aren't fully under control. Damn. That show is so much more than it was in the first season. It certainly is not a show for escapism.
Stranger Things: I'm enjoying Winona's performance, it's well-made, but it's not something that I've never seen before. Smart of Netflix to schedule it in the middle of the summer.
Stranger Things is homage-y as hell. Only saw first ep but loved it.
I've made it to Episode 5 of Stranger Things and it's derivative/homagey and the theme is way to reminiscent of Daredevil, but I'm still enjoying it. Even though I'm getting major deja-vu from every plot twist.
theme is way to reminiscent of Daredevil
huh. We're only through the 4th episode but I don't get that at all.
It sounds like it to me. the minimalism and even the same notes. I could be wrong, the Daredevil theme gets more complex as it goes along and this shows theme is very short compared to it, but I keep thinking it's very similar to my ear.
Oh!,the theme as in the theme song!! I'll have to listen for that.
Oh, duh, I should have said theme music/credits music. that might have helped.

We were talking about that on set in the final days of filming. Even for the living furniture they were technically and emotionally grueling shoots and we knew we wouldn't be able to talk about them to anyone but each other for the next six months. We're saying something horrible now. We're part of a story that needs telling and is going to hurt. We wondered if this is what it felt like to make M*A*S*H when the joking stopped.
Shooting a riot is upsetting. It's also potentially dangerous what with weapons and crowds and running and cameras and crew and equipment and fire. It was also bitterly cold and the crew and wardrobe were extrordinarily careful with 100+ people who could only (visibly) wear prison scrubs. It was all very serious. And then we'd do it again. And again. And again. I feel privileged to have done it.
