We watched the first 3 episodes of S3 of Umbrella Academy, and I am perplexed by the
modern technology in the Sparrows' training room,
when
the rest of the world of the show still has more or less analog technology.
That issue better be relevant and be addressed.
Spoilers specifically for episode 3: this goddamn show will NOT
make me feel any sympathy for Reginald Hargreeves.
Fuck no. But it's trying, damn it.
Also episode 3: Holy shit,
Harlan?!?
On UA Ep3: Yes, never
going to feel bad for daddy. He deserved to be drugged!
Also, I really dislike
Christopher.
Just annoys me. And whoa! The
Harlan stuff is quite
interesting. About half-way through 8 now and really don't want to finish.
Laura, my biggest question about
Christopher's entire existence
is: who the HELL
gave birth to a goddamn floating cube???
About half-way through 8 now and really don't want to finish.
Tim always wants to ration the episodes out, and I'm always pro-binge watch. With our schedules, that usually means we don't watch it during the week and then binge-watch on the weekends, which I guess is a compromise.
My need to know what happens next almost always overwhelms any attempt to ration out a series so it wont be over.
I had assumed that Christopher
became a floating cube
over time. I don’t understand exactly what his powers are or why
the characters can understand him but the audience can’t
but I am ok with not understanding
I think the Christopher character annoys me more than anything else with the season. Allison
is just flat out being a horrible person,
but I get it for the storyline. How much more could I love what they have done with Klaus? Not much, it is awesomeness. Really good with all the Umbrella characters' development. As for the Sparrows, it seems
like they are all going to bite it?
Hard to say. I'm thinking I'll have to finish before I fly back to Florida Thursday. Then I'll watch again with DH!
Huh, it didn't even occur to me that Christopher was
born human
but
became a floating superpowered cube
over time. Interesting.
As for why
the characters can understand him but the audience can't,
I'm slotting it in the same category as
Cousin Itt in the Addams Family
and
Groot.
I'm okay with it (so far -- I am only through episode 3).
Yeah, same on the communication, actually - it's fine I just don't know why it's happening. Which is also fine! It's a lot of characters to keep track of between both families and having one of them just be mostly a mystery is OK!
And I just figured that when Reginald went looking for babies to adopt, he adopted babies. Although if he came across
a floating cube that some poor woman gave birth to
I guess he would snatch that up. I didn't notice until way later that
the # of inexplicable births on 10/1/89 in the Sparrow timeline was way lower than it had been when we first got that recap for the Umbrellas
Not relevant to anything y'all are saying but, I am having a real hard time remembering
Sloane's name. I keep wanting to call her Peyton.
I have no idea why.
Tubi informs me that this is my last week to watch Pixels, White Chicks, and Madea's Witness Protection on the service.
Oh no! How will I go on?
