I had to give up on Making a Murderer partway through the second episode. Way, way too grim for me to take right now.

I had to stop last night because it turns out repeatedly yelling "are you fucking kidding me" at the tv is not good for migraines.
I picked back up this morning, but now I want to punch the kid's defense attorney in the face, hard
Baz Luhrman has a new show on Netflix coming up called The Get Down, and holy shit, it looks amazing: [link]
Wow.
Is anyone watching 11.22.63 on Hulu? I just finished the second episode and, after some rocky please-make-better-choices-Lead-Guy-your-stupid-is-killing-me moments, I am well and truly sucked in.
I have, JZ, and I really like it. Seems like there will be interesting paths, and I've really loved the performances.
I liked that he made some really dumb choices in that I think he's learning from them -- I feel like I might start out sort of cavalier under those circumstances, which might be fine for me, with my escape hatch and reset button, but not so much for everyone stuck in time and subject to the consequences of my time traveling self. Except, really, with the reset button... and then I stop thinking about it because time travel.
The past resisting, and pushing back is such a cool concept!
The moment when I went from "Come on, guy, stop being dumb" to "Holy shit, there are real stakes here" was when the random passing car slammed into the phone booth and the young woman died, rattling James/Jake to his core.
It's been so long since Freaks and Geeks that I had forgotten how quietly, unshowily good James Franco can be.
All is right wth the world.
The comments on that are, for the moment, hilarious.
The Tick has been resurrected (without Patrick Warburton), presumably so it can be prematurely cancelled for a third time.
