Oliver and I are OBSESSED with OFMD. I have already been down the pirate rabbit hole for a long time (I own A General History of the Pyrates and was reading about the Whyddah a while back). Stede Bonnet was real. Blackbeard was real. Calico Jack Rackham was real. Benjamin Hornigold was real. I'm FREAKING OUT.
Taika Watiti Hotness threw me for a loop but ALL the queer representation in a matter of fact manner makes it that much better.

And he was really associated with real women pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Reed!
So I expect they'll show up.
I'm very much hoping for them in season 2 (gods willing)! Cash, I love that you and Oliver are so into it.

I actually looked up the transcripts from Stede Bonnet’s trial (it’s online).
My goal is to get to Nantucket and Cape Cod for the Whyddah and Whaling museums.
I loved Black Sails but OFMD is just as deep but with fun.
