I really enjoyed the Boba Fett finale once the fighting started. I kinda like how random and out of place the scooter gang is.
I am still very ambivalent about the whole Rings of Power thing. I don't know. I"ll probably watch it if only because the idea of seeing Numenor is pretty exciting, but I'm still more anxious than enthusiastic about it.
I had thought I might be too old and curmudgeonly for The Afterparty but maybe I will give it a try.
I enjoyed the Bob Fett finale, even with its obvious weirdness. Why is this show
so much about Mando? Why put a huge reunion like Mando and Grogu in the finale of someone else's show? Do they just figure that everyone will watch everything, and if they don't, sucks to be them?
Also, I never for a second
believed that Timothy Olyphant was dead.
Me either, Dana. It was clear from that scene.
I think the show would have been better with better writing: Boba was ... not interesting. There was so much they could have done with him! But he was bland and had no interiority and no real conflict. And they didn't give Ming Na-Wen enough to do either: again, no internal life there.
It was amazing how much more interested I was in the show when Din Djarin showed up.
Someone someday will write the Oral History of TBoBF and we will all be entertained at the weird shit that was going on in the writing room or at Disney.
Wait he isn't? Dana's second whitefont. I missed something.
You are probably right about the behind the scenes, Consuela. I wonder if it was a question of differnt people having too many and too different headcanons so that trying to find ways to meld them ended up with bleh compromise that pleased no one?
I missed something.
There was a post-credits scene.
Oh, definitely missed that. I can probably squeeze that into a break in the work day...
OK, now I'm caught up. And googled who the other person in the scene was because I wasn't sure.
