Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I had it in my head that Ben was the Kraken.

It would make sense, right?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I’m glad I’m not the only one to think so!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Is anyone else watching Around the World in 80 Days ?

Some interesting variations from the original. I like the changes to Passepartout and Fix.

I think they are off to a good start.

Ok, I went back to try and find what y’all had been saying about Ted Lasso and mostly I’m just gonna nod along but I have to jump in and loudly agree that Trent Crimm: Independent’s hair is Everything

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and loudly agree that Trent Crimm: Independent’s hair is Everything

Oooh, my hair is approaching that threshold though it's still more at Big Lebowski/Duderino.

Goals, man. He's a hair role model.

I now have that We're Richmond Til We Die song stuck in my head. Way to choose the least entertaining option, brain!

Our wings are not tired.

We've been rationing the Ted Lasso and just last night watched the gut-punch text message to Ted from Trent Crimm: The Independent. Eeep. We may have to give up on the rationing and finish off the season. It's been such a joy I don't want there to be none in our queue.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sad that Cowboy Bebop won't have a second season. But . . .

I seriously have my doubts that live-action radical Ed would have worked.

Yeah. The brief bit we had with them was not great. My tolerance for cute-annoying kids in media tends to be pretty low, and Radical Ed in the anime didn't bother me. I don't think that would have been true in the live action version.

Klaus is Matilda's woobie.

So say we all. If I'd been a rich lady with a big house in the 1960s, I totally would have let Klaus set up a cult there.

It did seem like a pretty nice cult.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

It blows my mind to think that Matilda is old enough to have genre TV woobies until I remember she's older than my son and he's already a teenager. "Time is a weird soup" and all that.
