Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

Spike ,'Potential'

ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

I have been writing a remeberance of my own, just as a way to help me process this. When it is a bit furthrr along I will be glad to share it in case anyone wants to cannibalize bits of it for the official obit.

Also i have a good ita story that has not been entioned so far, one you may want to share with her sisiter. Apparently at a young age (11 or so?) ita found a child pschology/child rearing book. She read the whole thing and then began applying it on her sister. So, though t heir parent did not know it, ita's sister ha a third parent playing a major role n raising her. Searches are still a bit tough for me, even with the new tablet. I'e optimized it for composition rather than internet browing. But this story is somewhere on the board, and someone may want to search for it. It is such an ita story.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Allyson, you have lovely hair.

Burrell, you also have pretty hair.

It's all wrong and stupid and it should not be.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Ginger, I added some photos that were uploaded to facebook to the flickr group, but feel free to ignore them if you're curating it somehow. I just wanted to share in case they were missed by accident.

I was actually really tempted to share a picture I have with Moji that we took to prove to ita that we really did find each other and met up when I was in England. It was tough because it was a million years ago and I definitely did not have an international cell phone, so it involved a secret meeting, a pay phone, and SO MUCH CONFUSION because ita had forgotten to tell me her sister's name (and had only referred to me as Alibelle [which was fine, except that I introduced myself as Elizabeth when I finally found her]). Or share a picture of her. But eventually we met up, and she was absolutely lovely, and we made plans to meet up again, and ended up going to see the Keira Knightley King Arthur movie (where I was confused again by the lack of popcorn at the theater, and the chocolate smarties), and then Moji was overwhelmed by all the violence and held my hand and couldn't watch the screen through all the battles. So by the time I got back to a computer, I sent ita an email letting her know that M was absolutely delightful, but I had my doubts that there was any relation between them. And I think ita threatened to break my thumbs again for saying something so crazy.

Allyson and Burrell are both really pretty with really pretty hair.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

That's a wonderful story, Alibelle.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hair, so pretty.

Reality, sucks so hard.

Always Anti-fascist!

If I can help, I will. I have a detached "reporter brain" that I think I can use at times like that.

Always Anti-fascist!

Probably, I could do it just fine and have a delayed reaction and cry a lot afterwards...tends to be how I deal. Maybe you are too close to that particular task, just because of how close you guys were, Allyson. I know someday I'm going to see something on TV and say "Wonder if ita thought her accent's real. I should ask." sigh.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So by the time I got back to a computer, I sent ita an email letting her know that M was absolutely delightful, but I had my doubts that there was any relation between them.

I remember you saying something about the two of them looking alike but being completely different.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Did anyone get anywhere with coming up with a reading for/from us to be used at the funeral? If not, it occurrs to me that there have been many wonderful statements of how much we love ita here and in Natter that might - with permission of various posters - be cobbled together for that purpose. I bring this up because after having work suck my brain out for the last several days, I have today and tomorrow off, and could make a start on it if it seems like a good idea to folks.
