I’ve been hesitating to post anything because I didn’t really know ita as well as the rest of you. I’ve been a Buffista since the TT days, but I do more lurking than posting; mostly I’ve interacted with ita on the SPN thread. But I can say with complete sincerity that I am feeling a tremendous sense of loss…. the Buffistas board is the first site I check when I turn on my laptop everyday, and her voice has always been a constant presence everywhere throughout the site. And now it’s fallen silent. My mother saw me crying and wanted to know why, and I told her “one of the invisible people* is gone, and the entire community is mourning.”
(*Because “invisible people” makes me sound slightly less insane than “imaginary people.”)
Those of us who met her in person...how lucky are we?
Those of us who never did but know her anyway...also so lucky. Because think of the odds of never knowing anybody like her at all.
Also, it's crazy to see you all.... I feel 22 again. In a good way.

*"Awfulsome" is a word Paul Gilmartin uses to describe moments that are horrible at the time, but funny later. I'm shifting the meaning a bit, but looking for a word other than "bittersweet" to describe seeing everyone back here.
This has has been a pretty spectacular weepy week. I'm not much of a weep-er and yet, it catches me at the most weird (mostly unguarded moments). Anyhow, this morning I had a barking laughing moment instead which was a nice break. I was thinking about how outraged ita would get when we continually poke at her allegedly making out with Carrot Top. She was always insistent that she didn't make out with him.
Just the thought of her faux outrage made me laugh.
Him. Damn mobile. Don't even trust it to edit.

And, because its expected of me... DID she see the Carrot Bottom? Was he a natural carrot or bottled carrot?
Oh yeah, she was insistent she only saw him naked. Now bon bon may have done more.
She had such great stories from the Montreal Comedy Festival.
I would hate to see Carrot bottom, but I expect it would be less alarming than seeing him top.
