So far, the costume appears to be black leather pants and a pink gingham sports top. Good for fighting AND kicking back and reading comics.

You guys, a friend of ours has been dealing with chronic bad migraines after getting a concussion last year. And there is literally nothing I can say to him or his fiance, because all I can think of is ita.*

Though he's a straight white middle-class dude, so I imagine his medical care will be vastly better than hers.

*(I do know that chronic migraine can be treated more effectively than ita's was, and I hope that my friend's migraine is responsive to treatment. But I just remember everything she went through, and I worry for him.)

Yeah, I'm definitely glad that he'll get good care, for sure. I hope he has a good outcome. I just wish so damn hard that what he's going to experience is what she experienced.

Yeah, the good thing about being a medical editor is that I can respond to specific things, like Botox treatment, and say, "I've heard that's helpful." Because I *have* heard that it's helpful. The chronic worrier in the back of my head isn't allowed to pipe up with "But but BUT..."

And then I feel super lucky that my migraines are sporadic and (I hope) better controlled with this piercing (which is still so damn weird but cool). (And I do in fact have a migraine today, because the weather has been changing dramatically, back and forth, for about 2 weeks, and my head finally gave in. BUT -- the pain seems to be mild to moderate, compared with the pain before the piercing, which was moderate to severe. So hooray, hole in the head.) (It could be a placebo effect, but even if it is, I don't care one whit, because a placebo effect is still an effect.)

If it cuts down on my pain, I'll take placebo effect any day of the week

I am going to start wearing make up at work (a department store) because my face is red and I want to look more polished.

Clinque has a gift with purchase that is eye make up so I bought foundation and lipstick. I asked advice on a shade and the clinque rep (who is my co worker) immediately suggested Black Honey.

And I ended up talking about ita for a bit. And pre ordered the lipstick.

I may have seen a preliminary version of Tom's character based on ita and it may be AWESOME.
