Thanks, Steph.
ita's thread
A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.
Thank you, Steph. It is a beautiful and moving tribute.
It's incredibly lovely, although last night we couldn't help laughing because we were at one end of the lake, and as soon as we launched the lanterns, we realized the wind was blowing all the lanterns *to* our end. So ours didn't get very far. They did move a little (maybe 10-15 feet?) and then drifted back over to the edge of the lake.
Still pretty, though.
The annual lantern lighting ceremony was tonight -- flea (and family) joined us to launch a lantern for Ginger on the lake. Picture are in the FB Buffistas group, or if you're not in that group, this post is a public post so you should be able to see them (along with pictures of my other lantern): [link].
This is such a wonderful tradition, and I know that I'm not the only one who thanks you for doing this. Although I must say that I am hoping that we don't have one to light next year.
That is my most fervent hope.
Tep, thank you. Everytime I come back here, I think about Ginger and ita. :(
I'm snacking on Kashi GoLean Clusters. Is it weird that that makes me think of ita? So strange the random little intimate details we know about each other here.
Another Maytag commercial with C. Ferg has popped up on Hulu, and it just makes me sad.
I have such a rollercoaster of emotions with those.
They're saying Hurricane Matthew might become a Category 5 before it hits Jamaica. Are any of us still in touch with ita's family there?
