Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I had a dream sort of about ita last night.

I have to preface this with saying that my dream logic is not earth logic and my POV slips back and forth between experience and witness all the time. So sometimes things are happening to me and sometimes i'm watching the same thing happening to someone else.

Anyway, I was working in an office and there were other Buffistas working there, too, but I can't remember who. except that ita had been one of them.

Her desk had become an informal shrine to her. One of the things that had been on her desk when she died was a bag that had held her favorite cookies. People had taken to writing messages to her on small pieces of paper and putting them in the bag.

One person had been kind of distraught when they were putting something in the bag and stuck her hand in almost up to her elbow which should have been pushed through the bottom of the bag. Instead she/I felt a Phantom hand clasp her/my hand.

Later someone even more upset who was crying and really needed a hug shoved her whole arm up to the shoulder into the bag and felt the Phantom hug her. And those of us watching - when I wasn't the person being hugged - could see the trace of the Phantom hand on the persons back.

In dream logic I knew the Phantom was ita.

Then I woke up. It all felt so genuine. It sounds silly now but it felt real.

Our wings are not tired.

What Laura said.

There have been two super real dreams of loved ones who have passed that actually changed my life in the waking world.

quester, this one seems to vivid and logical to me, I could almost see it myself. Just lovely.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I do cherish the few dreams of my mother; they're often riffs on real life happy events and sometimes just comfort for what comes next, letting me know I'll never be without her. Although, once she came back as a non-brain-eating zombie; don't even ask me what that was about.
