So, unwisely, I started wondering about the likelihood of pregnant leeches and I discovered that leeches are hermaphrodites and therefore, you could not just use one sex of leech to avoid reproduction!!!!! HOO-HA LEECH BABIES!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration
And thanks to that I have done some surface-level research on leech reproduction hoping for something reassuring (like leeches don't give birth while their feeding or something). But no. Although leeches apparently lay eggs, so it's not so much pregnant leeches to watch out for, it's the hypothetical leech attaching its cocoon of eggs to one's insides, as if to a rock or a leaf.
So much for counting.
