ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Them going to one of those sorts of organizations sounds great to me, but then again I'm not much of an X-Men fan.

Because books.

I'd love to see them go to a hospital or literacy center.

I'll wait 'til the end of the week, in case someone wants them. If not, I'll take them on Saturday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's a great idea, Polgara. Thanks for doing it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Did anyone ever do research on patient advocates in the LA area? I have a friend who's having a horrible time getting a diagnosis, treatment, or pain management.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

CA State list of patient advocacy groups; a few of them are in LA.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have a referral to a PT clinic for my headaches and ita is always on my mind. As much as I hate the pain I've been in, I know I will never come close to having a true inkling of what she went through. Both from the pain side and the treatment (or non-treatment) side.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Has anyone read Zeroboxer? I thought ita would have really liked it. It's a scifi about zero gravity combat, and it's written by a woman who has a black belt in karate and a brown belt in kung fu. I don't know, 'cause I don't fight, but all the actual boxing scenes read really accurately to me. I mean, as accurately as a novel about weightless boxing can be.
