'Touched'

ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Things I have done today that express my missing of ita:

  • enjoyed a cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and confirmed it is still my One True Coffee
  • cried a little while watching a video of women who were running a half marathon
  • made a recipe for curry from her notebook.

I substituted every ingredient except the peanut butter (including substituting goat for chicken which was ever my plan). It came out great, would make again.

Swouncing

askye, thank you for sharing it. It was lovely.

I want her back; I want the old world back, the one with her in it. This world is stupid.

Yesterday we met with one of PiBoy's kindergarden friends, and her brother, about a year and a half older than them, so almost six years old. Their mother just picked him up from a Krav Maga class for kids that he's taking. He was still wearing the class' clothes, and was thrilled, in a state of such pure joy, from all he's just learned, I couldn't help but feel a little of that joy, so obviously immediately I wanted to e-mail ita and tell her about it.

The DH thinks about having PiBoy take this Krav Maga class next year, when he's old enough to start. And this world is so wrong for ita not being here to be happy about the things she loved being important for new people.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Micah, Dan and I are going to take the local KM Center's Intro Seminar one Saturday during M's summer visit. (He's 13 now, so he can take the regular Intro Seminar which is 13 to StilL Kicking.)

I was terribly emotional looking at the site for the schedule and watching a couple of vids.

Nilly! My darling geeky Micah will be mitzvahed in October! (I think it is a verb?)

I'm wearing one of ita's Batman T-shirts today. It seemed like the thing to do.

Watching Sense8 was truly enjoyable, but I kept wondering what ita would say about the fighting styles and the connections and the diversity and...

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

bonny, me too! I was also thinking that the way they jumped in to help each other was a perfect metaphor for Buffistas.

I thought that too, quester!

I was reminded of the times when someone here didn't actually expect a solution, but someone else was able to 'step in.'

Not that we'd want to replicate it, but a moment that really got to me was when Will is driving toward the helicopter and the baddie says, "You can't do this..." and Will says, "Maybe not, but I bet I know who can" and Wolfgang takes the wheel .

ita would totally have done that!

eta: to fix the character name

Um, I haven't watched that so I don't know how spoilery your example is, bonny, but it sounds pretty specific to be blackfonted outside the streaming thread.
