I had a thing to switch to that made it seem like the right move.
I generally don't wear makeup, but I bought some Black Honey because. Actually wore it at work one day when I needed some extra perking up, and one of my coworkers mentioned it was a good colour on me and I nearly burst into tears. But in a good way.
I had an occasion to post a picture of Storm in full wrath mode, and it seemed like a good transition - not pink gingham, but still itaesque.
It felt like time.
I went into cheese for half mourning, then brought back LLAP for Nimoy.
"Cheese for half mourning" is a lovely, funny phrase.
Lee, I finally got my package (mix up at package place). Thank you. It's a skeleton hands choker, btw. I remember ita discussing skeleton jewelry and thought it might be some of that.
Still seems so weird. So unbelievable.
Mine was a change more of a latteral. Winter in my heart.
How did you all decide to switch your Facebook picture from the pink gingham?
I've changed mine to various pictures of me doing things with other Buffistas.
We're going to remember her in our own ways. I'm probably not going to buzz my hair or take up martial arts, but I did get a tattoo and go to New Orleans. I recently picked up ginger beer because of ita, and discovered that it's totally my jam.
I was ready to let go of the pink gingham but still wanted to have a connection to ita which is why I picked the dragonflies.
My last big thing was setting up my new NAS. (Drew's Drobo rec.) But I wanted to talk about it with her.
I had a former student do a photoshoot for me today, and I wore her cuff.
I'll change the gingham when something comes along that feels right. YMMV.
I knew it was going to be a one month thing for me from the start. We found out about ita on January 13th, and February 13th is the anniversary of Rob's death. I always change my profile pic to one of us in remembrance. Then it was easier to segue into other photos.
