ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

I keep waiting for her to weigh in on PoI.

Thanks, Bev

Does anyone know anything about ita's domain, thevelvetedge.com? Her sis is asking about it (her own email is through that domain), yet when I went to the domain, it went to a "This account has been suspended" page.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Are ita's credit cards still valid? If not (which I suspect is likely) then perhaps if she had set up automatic monthly payments for hosting the site was suspended for non-payment. I'm guessing it's probably something like that.

Looking at the whois info, all the mailing addresses are listed as Southfield MI. Is that where ita lived when she was in MI?

Good question, no idea. But Burrell did say it might be on the same account as provocateuse, which they do have the info for. I think.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I believe she did. I think velvetedge.com was down as of 1/23, when we tried to access that email account.

Sigh. Little bits, blinking out.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Was it dreamhost all her hosting was through? Did she use that for domain registration as well?

Both thevelvetedge.com and provocateuse.com (which is still up) are registered with domaindiscover, which is now tierranet, apparently. The thevelvetedge registration will expire on May 6th, 2015, while provocateuse won't until October 27, 2018. So the domains are fine, for the time being. But the hosting accounts will run out sooner.

I downloaded one page (entities.htm) from the velvet edge that I use a lot, so I will post that up to my server in case anyone else needs it (just as soon as I remember how to do ftp). Unfortunately, that's all I've got.

Okay, one tiny little bit blinking back on...
