NO. Wait, that's not right. I remember The Darkness and Amara, which was Season 11. I just found my last comment, so I'm going to see whether I can find the episode it refers to. But, weirdly, I don't remember this Season 9 stuff at all. I wonder if I skipped a season somewhere? Huh.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
15 seasons. I know it happened but it's still unbelievable. I remember waaaay back when having a dream that I was watching the 10th season (ish, probably a round number like that though) and being pretty sure that would never happen. Fairly certain that the 10th season we got was nothing like the one in my dream...
I had to look up season 9 on Wikipedia (it is hilarious that I can do that!). Looks heavy on angels which is rarely makes for my favorite stories. Some of the episodes are coming back to me as I skim the summaries. Just not that memorable on the whole, I think, although I wanna say Abaddon was a good villain? Nothing concrete to base that on, just vibes. There were several seasons that were, to my mind, overall lackluster but had a couple of really good episodes, I can't endorse skipping entirely but if you start watching an episode and it feels familiar probably it's okay to move to the next one? It's not like all the little plot details you may have forgotten entirely make sense in the fullness of time...
It is very angel-y! I'm OK with it so far, because it's just fun to be seeing Sam and Dean again. I'm watching at 1.25 speed -- I do that a lot these days! Abaddon is pretty fun to watch, so I'm in for now. And Helo was playing Ezekiel in the first episode, so that was fun. I'm assuming the actual actor will show up again, though he is currently occupying SamBodySpace.
Oh, nifty! I've gotten in the habit of listening to a lot of stuff at 1.25 or higher speeds sometimes but I haven't tried watching anything that way. Whenever it occurs to me that it might be a good idea I'm using a player that either doesn't offer the option or I can't find how to do it. That's perfect for catching up on old Supernatural! If something really good happens that you want to watch in real time you can always slow down
Aw, you made me look up Helo on IMDB to see what he's up to lately and it seems to be a bunch of stuff I haven't heard of. Oh well. Although I am pretty out of touch, some of it could be pretty high profile and I wouldn't know. Anyway, I work with a rep group with initials BSG and whenever I type that to refer to them I wonder if anyone else thinks of Battlestar Galactica when they see it...

Some people MUST!
Weirdly I had a dream last night about attending a Supernatural festival (with footraces, other outdoor events, and picnic tables as well as normal indoor con activities) and hanging out with Felicia Day at it, despite not really having been a fan of the show since Season 11. I guess Bondsman is similar enough that watching it tripped my brain into SPN mode while sleeping.
I would like to have attended your dream event -- it sounds like a good time. Coincidentally, I just finished the ep with Felicia Day returning and ending up going to Oz with Dorothy. I haven't had an SPN dream in aaaages, but maybe now that I'm immersing myself again, I'll get lucky. Adventuring with Sam and Dean!
That does sound like a good event, Matt.

Huh, interesting. You like it?
I'm only two and a half episodes in, so far it's enjoyable but not great. Sort of what you'd get if Brimstone and Reaper had a hillbilly baby. I'm mainly glad Beth Grant got a major role (and wondering how she felt about being cast as the mother of someone 9 years her junior).
Brimstone and Reaper had a hillbilly baby
Ha!
Oh, wow, Beth Grant has done so much (I went to her Wiki, because I didn't recognize the name -- I completely recognized her, though, of course). Cool that she is a regular! And, yeah, hilarious that she's playing Kevin Bacon's mother. That would be the same as Kevin Bacon playing my father, ha!
